1. Dundalk LeisureCraft Responsibilities:

• Building and Packing: Assemble and pack your sauna securely into a crate for safe transport.
• Shipping: Coordinate with a trucking company to arrange delivery to your home.

2. Trucking Company Responsibilities:

• Appointment Scheduling: Contact the customer to set a delivery appointment.

• Delivery: Deliver the sauna crate to the end of your driveway or curbside.

  • Note:
    a. The trucking company is NOT responsible for unloading the sauna crate.
    b. They will NOT back their truck into your driveway.
    c. Deliveries are typically made using an 18-wheel truck. Ensure the truck can access your road or neighborhood.

• Crate Size Considerations:

  • Crates under 92” (7 feet): A lift gate may be available to assist in unloading.
  • Crates over 92” (7 feet): A lift gate will NOT be available. The customer must plan unloading.

3. Customer Responsibilities:

• Communication: Return calls to the trucking company promptly to arrange delivery.

• Unloading Plans: Decide how to unload the sauna crate from the truck.

  • Crate Sizes:
    • Lengths range from 6 to 14 feet.
    • Weights range from 800 to 1600 pounds.
  • Suggested Methods:
    1. Use a forklift or similar equipment.
       • Ensure fork extensions are used and pick the crate up from the end.
    2. Rent a tilt tow truck to pick up the crate from a local terminal for home delivery.

• Damage Protocol:

  • If the crate arrives damaged:
    1. Accept the shipment.
    2. Take pictures of the damage.
    3. Note the damage on the Bill of Lading (BOL) with the remark: “Crate arrived open/damaged – Possible Hidden Damage.”
    4. Immediately contact your dealer or Dundalk LeisureCraft for assistance.

By following these responsibilities and guidelines, your sauna delivery process will be smooth and efficient!
